The philatelic service of Post office and Telegraphs of Spain put the 28 of November of 1997 an interesting seal transmission. With this date the series dedicated to " Ways of Sefarad " begins, with which it is wanted to present the patrimony and the Jewish inheritance in several Spanish cities. During the average age, Arab, Christian and Jewish they coexisted in places common, based in districts within the cities. The Jewish districts were located near the walls, with side streets and narrow streets surrounded by arcs or openings. The transmission is formed by four dedicated values a: |

Judería of Cáceres was nailed in the district of San Antonio, without a doubt one of most beautiful of the city. For the reason the facade of a popular construction of century XV has been chosen. |

The more important Jewish community of the crown of Arago'n was developed in Gerona, with the layout of the Call (name given to the Jewish establishment). The zone of the cathedral and its surroundings are a good sample of the place. Mosse' rabbi horseradish tree Nahman, philosopher, poet and doctor, is known in Catalan by Bonastruc ça Porta, name that the center dedicated to the investigation and diffusion of our Jewish past receives as well. In the seal a section of the street reproduces where east center is located. |

Ribadavia (Orense), juderi'a more important of Galicia. In this region they settled down in century XII and they got to control the commerce with Overseas and the interchange with territories of the interior. The seal as opposed to reproduces Porta Nova, defended by Jews and Christians the English invasion. |

In Cordova the mosque (Jewish district) was located next to the wall, with an extension that included the seat of Maimo'nides and all the side streets located around the mosque. One of most beautiful monuments of religious architecture is the synagogue, whose gallery destined to the women is the chosen reason to illustrate the seal. |
